Last Prayer Request Update!

Hello Friends! Updates from my last prayer requests post!
Hip Hop Events: We had couple events with our hip hop group and brother Jack from SAC. Two of those events were secular and they invited us, Christians, to join them, we were free to share the gospel and we did. At one of them, most of the famous national wide knowned rappers were on stage and they payed very careful attention when Jack shared. People appreciated our hip hop group, reconizing their music. Recently our group added couple new people and decided to change their vision, they want to go outside of the church walls and reach out people out there through hip hop.  It was their first event outside of church, and they did very good, their lyrics really talks about the reality their public goes through and brings the answer..Jesus! Please keep pray for them, they are called "Cartel SP".
Hip hop is one of the languages within culture of the people we work with. It´s part of their being, their stories, what a blessing be able to use what is part of them to tell them who they are, who they belong to and what they are on Earth for: to praise God! We have used this music style as a tool to do missions, to take the gospel through a language they can hear and understand very well!
Christmas Sharing: Thanks for your prayers!!! We have gotten sponsors to give a Christmas gift for 416 children!  Now, we have to get all of those gifts and organize ourselves to pass them out in three Christmas celebrations in different communities we work with. Our church and a partner church ISP - "Chinese Church" are working together to have a big celebration with them. A short team from Corvallis - OR is coming to help us out!
Usually, where our kids live, Christmas means time to get the family together, to have fun and get drunk. We want to have kids sitting at a beautiful Christmas table and have a meal with loving christians sharing a special moment, have a small discussion on the table about Christmas real meaning and after they are done get their gifts! Please, pray for the organization those 3 big outreaches, for the people and kids involved, for energy and everything go smooth!
Downbellow are pictures!
God bless you! Tati

Prayers Request...

It´s been a while I don´t post anything...I´ve been very busy with so much going on...I tend to post just big things and send newsletters...but a friend of mine told me I should post day by day stuff so people know what is going on and know how to pray!

Well...here it goes a little of what is going on...Getting ready for Christmas, I´m leading the event "Christmas Sharing", finding 470 sponsors to give a pair of shoes, clothing and a toy for each one of the kids. I´m working with a group of 4 people from our church and a partner church, plus all the people who are helping each one of us, promoting this. Last year some American brothers joined us on this event, it was a blessing but this time, for several reasons and to amke easy for us, we are doing this with Brazilian people. But you can help us on prayers! Please pray to find each sponsor, pray as well for them, many aren´t christians and we are sharing Jesus with them through this. Also for us don´t worry and get stressed, to totally lean on God!

As you might know, I´m dating Wellington Barros.  We know each other for a long time, and we are looking forward to build a new family where Jesus is the center! Please join with us on prayers!

Hip Hop events..we will have 3 big events related to Hip Hop, (Nov 15, 18 and 19th) a north american brother, who is rapper is coming down to joing us, Jack. Him, our choir and our hip hop band will be performing. All of those involve evangelism and many youth from our church are getting read for this. Pastor William and Pastor Heider are leading the evangelism team.

This is the card we are giving to each sponsor with the picture of the child they are blessing!!!

We celebrated one month dating at MC Donalds! We were so exhausted (and starving) after a full day under hot sun (80F and dry) taking kids pictures for Christmas that MC Donalds was the closest and fastest place!

Thanks a lot for your prayers and support!! I will keep you posted through my blog about those events!!!

Yes WE ARE Brazilians! Afterwards couple people came to my home and I had breakfast with them! Later my father made a BIG family lunch, with a beautiful table set up and at night couple friends came over for a barbecue! I was able to witness at the bbq with some non-Chritians family friends! Countdown...8 days and I'll be back in Brazil! The last days are the hardest ones!!
I'm so happy for what God has done up here, He did amazing things that I didn't know! Please pray that the next couple days go smooth.

It's Tati Time!

Here it goes some pats of my newsletter I recently sent out!

Hi!! Maybe you have wondered why I say “Tati’s time”??? Let me explain. In the summer of 2010, we were hosting a short term trip from Oak Hills with Pastor David Holcomb. Since I am so short and look more like one of the kids, David (being really tall and loud) starting catching everyone’s attention for me by singing “It’s Tati Time!” LOL Now that I have your attention, enjoy my newsletter!!!

It’s been 5 months I’m in the USA and I’m getting ready to go back home!!! God’s doing amazing things among the youth at our church, Pastor Heider Quintino, who has been attending our church for about one year is being used by God in amazing ways to reach those young ones. Pastor Heider is co leading our youth choir with Michael Pupo while Wellington is gone and building strong relationships with them. As a result of his dedication many of them are on fire for God and getting involved in leadership training, discipleship and evangelism! Praise God!

Although I am sad to be missing all the exciting things happening at home, I can see that God is growing me so much in this time away. He is using this time to shape me in certain areas of my life that being here have allowed me to see and work on with Christ. Thank you Lord for being so gracious to me!

Life is busy here, just like at home but in a different way. Raising support takes a lot of effort and the results take a long time to see, adding to that my own personal prob-lems and it gives space to worry. I’m learning to live by Prov 3:5-7 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes.

Sometimes, unless a big thing happens we don’t feel God is moving, we lean on our own understanding and trust what we “think” we are seeing...But check out what I learned: “There are times when there is no illumination and no thrill, but just the daily round, the common task. Routine is God's way of saving us between our times of inspiration. Do not expect God always to give you His thrilling minutes, but learn to live in the domain of drudgery by the power of God.” Oswald Chambers.

He is taking care of every little and big thing! He is the crea-tor, worthy to be praised! I’ve learned more than ever if I seek His face He will move in amazing ways that I didn’t know…. While I was busy with details He raised my support to 59% in May and He has brought me to 73% last month!!! At the same time He has also been working out vital aspects of our relationship! I didn’t real-ize how many BIG things God has been doing until I came to the place of worshiping Him and Him alone for who He is, not for what He is doing for me. When I do this I don’t give space to worry but in-stead sing a newsong to the Lord!!!

Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For
great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD
endures forever. Praise the LORD. Psalm 117:1

Prayer Requests...
. Please continue to pray for my mom, Adesia.
They
found problems with her
thyroid. She is taking med
icines to see if it correct
this. Also she has had back
problems for a long time
and she might need to
have surgery because it’s
not healing.

. For all the 600 children
we work with, for God to
break their chains in Jesus!

. Again, that God would
continue to draw me closer
to Him through my last
month in the USA and forev
er!
For people and churches
respond to the Holy Spirit
as He touches them to part
ner with us!

Thank you a lot!!! God bless you,

Tati

Unexpected surgery! Praise the Lord!!

Wenesday, July 13th I read Pslams 130 and verse 7 called out my attention: srael, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption”. God’s love never fails, it is faithful. it was about 8 pm when I was going to meet my friend Emily (who has been to Brazil couple times) , I was having stomach pain so I decided to stop by Walgreens to get medicine, in the way I felt strong pain really low in my stomach area,  when I got to the drugstore I couldn’t barely walk or breath, I called Emily and she came to me cause I couldnt drive at all.  Emily is nurse, and she adviced me to go to the hospital, but I didn’t want to go cause I thought it was the stomach pain that I usually get from my gastrites, when I got home the pain was worse and she said to me I was having apendicites syntoms and she took me to the hospital. I haven’t had a chance to see much Emily while I’m uphere and that’s why we were going to hang out that evening. God’s love is faithful, in that day I was going to hang out with a friend who is a nurse!
In the way to the hospital the pain was getting worse, I never felt such a pain like this, when I got the the hopsital lobby I couldn’t stand that pain anymore and I was crying and shouting: Jesus resuce me! (in Português, probably nobody understood...). After 26 minutes I was seen by the doctor and the procedures started, doctor, exams, pain medication...when they gave me ‘morfine” I asked “Am I dying?” Everyone laughed! I said that in Brazil the yonly use morfine when someone is about to die! The ytold me taht in USA americans don’t like to be in pain!
After couple hours the doctor came back and said: you have apendicites and you will have sirurgery tomorrow morning. Very calm I asked 2 questions: why do I have it and how bad is it? He told me it is unluckyness and they would only find out how bad when they opened it.  The peace that surpasses all the understanding came upon me, the reason I was claiming Jesus in the lobby, was because I could feel in the bottom of my heart the Holy Spirit warning me about the sirurgy, so all I could do was cry out Jesus name!
It was amazing how I handled in the Holy Spirit strengh with all that, I didn’t panicany moment and all the times I cryed I was reconizing tht I’m nothing and God has blessed me with so much!
I had 20 visits in the hospital, five of them didn’t leave the hospital until I had the surgery. Many people praying for me in Brrazil and in USA, I got many encouraging facebook messages through my cel phone.  Every time I looked to all my friends at the hospital with me I thanked them and cryed, cause with the Lord is unfailing love. He prepars everything, we only have to cry out to Him.
One of the times i went to the bathroom I needed help of two people, I was so dizzy and I cryed, cryed because we are nothing, we are doing well and all of the sudden we can be taken out of this Earth in couple secconds. But God is everything, above all and He loves us. The reason I was crying didn’t have to do with me and with my wekness but it had to do with Him and His love!
On Thrusday evening (July 15), before the sirurgery I was calm, no crying and ready, cause I knew that the Lord Jesus already had rescued me. Who knnows me would never expect I would be so calm in such a situation like that, but when we gave space to Jesus, we live out that verse:  I no longer live but Christ lives in me, also the other one: when I am weak then I am strong!
I witnessed to the nurses in the post op room (I don’t even know how cause I was was so loope). Received more God’s love through my brother and sisters who kept visiting me and I was discharged on Friday afternoon. I left the hospital with my debts mostly like forgave, as my insurance expired and I was unable to renew cause the insurance denayed since I’m not in Brazil, I would have to pay the bill but Jesus took care of it and because I’m a missionary and a doctor friend of us talekd wit hthe hospital they might covered it by the charity department.
This testimony it’s for God’s glory, cause when I cryed out, He answered me;, He greatly emboldened me. This was the pslam I read in the morning after the surgery, 138. His loves endures forever,  He does not abandon the works of His hands...
God bless you,
Thanks for all your prayers!
